I plan on being with you until forever ends.

I met Briana at the Studio in downtown Follansbee, WV. It's there that she teaches multiple dance classes along with my soon-to-be sister-in-law. It's there that my daughters learn baton twirling and aerobics. Briana also works at the same McDonalds that I did all those years ago when I got my first job after moving to the area.

I was so excited when Briana asked me to photograph her wedding...and a little nervous. She Eric have been together for a few years now and were planning a DIY backyard wedding on her mother's property, which I got to see for the first time during Briana's daughter's birthday party. The property is acres and acres of rolling hills and forest, complete with a little alpaca farm. I can imaging how much fun it would be to just go out hiking to explore the scenic land.

When fall finally rolled around last year, the day came and everything was perfect. The rustic wedding was complete with a hayride to the breathtaking ceremony site and a relaxed tiki torch lit reception. My favorite moment was when Eric got to see Briana for the first time during their private first look. The joy on both of their faces was priceless. The ceremony that followed was amazing! The location spot that they chose was in a sort of glen overlooking the rolling hills beyond, and the beautiful archway and doors that were set up were crafted by the family.

Following the ceremony, I got some time alone with Eric and Briana for portraits during the start of golden hour. The light was absolutely perfect and the happy couple were radiant. After a few minutes of making magic, we hopped in Briana's dad's truck and rode back to the reception tent. They opted for a relaxed evening with tiki torches to light dance area and a bbq buffet. After cutting the cake, the wedding party changed into more comfortable clothes for the dances. So much emotion flowed with those dances, tears and laughter.

I love a happy wedding day. Nothing could keep the smile off of Briana's face the whole day and Eric was so in awe of her. Their day is one I'll remember for a long time.
