Carissa & Charlie's Summer Wedding

If Cinderella had a modern barn wedding, it would look a lot like Carissa and Charlie's summer wedding. Carissa is a Disney girl at heart, having done the Disney college program and finished multiple runs at Disney World, so it was no surprise to see elements of her wedding inspired by Disney's most recognizable princess. The rustic spin made the day uniquely and genuinely Carissa and Charlie's. They pulled off the rustic fairytale combination beautifully. The day was filled with shades of blue and sparkle throughout.

Their wedding was held at the beautiful Valley View Overlook in Dillonvale, OH. Carissa and her bridesmaids got ready in the upper bridal suite, while Charlie and his groomsmen got ready in the trophy room off the side of the main building. I couldn't help but think of Gaston's Tavern when in the trophy room. The guys got ready, assisting each other with their ties and boutonnieres, and then celebrated with shots of whiskey. The ladies had fun with jello shots and popping champagne. Once ready for the ceremony, Carissa had a first look with her parents and grandmother, presenting them with gifts that had everyone tearing up. Soon after it was time for the outdoor ceremony.

The ceremony was held on the pavilion overlooking the valley. Carrisa and Charlie were pronounced husband and wife on a gorgeous sunny day with blue skies filled with fluffy clouds. While they didn't ride off in a carriage, there was a carriage on site decorated with flowers. Following the ceremony, Carissa and Charlie got pictures with all their family and their wedding party. I always like to end the formal portraits with just the couple so they can have a few moments away from everyone else, to privately celebrate officially being married.

I loved spending the day at Valley View Overlook celebrating with the beautiful couple. It was definitely one of the highlights of the summer wedding season. I loved getting to reconnect with them at one of our October weddings. It's always such an honor to be recommended in friend groups and be able to catch up with past couples at their friends' weddings. I hope to see this wonderful couple again at future weddings.
