The Glittering Wedding of Nick and Angelica

The year has been flying by with so many memorable weddings this year...and one of which was the wedding of my brother, Nick, to his beautiful wife Angelica. I am honored to have had the privilege of photographing my brother's wedding and being so personally involved in it. Rich and our kids all got to be a part of the wedding, which everyone was super excited about. The girls adore Angelica and part of their tight bond comes from her instructing them in dance at the Studio in Follansbee, WV. Long before they started at the Studio, Angelica was already a part of our family. The first time Nick introduced her to the family all those years ago, we knew she was the one for him. She has filled his life with so much joy, we're all so happy that it's official.

The day started at the Studio, where Angelica got ready with her closest friends: Sydney, her best friend from college; Bri, her coworker from both Mcdonald's and the Studio; and David, her dance partner of years. Along with these three, her mom, my mom, and my daughters joined in the pre-wedding preparations. Nick got ready at his apartment with our dad, our youngest brother Isaac, Rich, and Blake. They spent some of that time playing video games on the Nintendo Switch.

Once everyone was ready, Nick and Angelica shared one of the sweetest first looks. I am absolutely biased, but you can't deny the pictures. Angelica stole Nick's breath away when he saw her for the first time in her glittering dress with pockets. Their reactions to seeing each other were perfection. Following the first look, we did some family formals, wedding party formals, and couples portraits. I've always been so impressed with how comfortable Nick is in front of the camera...but I'm pretty sure it's entirely because of how happy Angelica makes him.

The ceremony was beautiful, with joyous tears and laughter. There was a brief moment after the recessional when I looked at Angelica, tears full in her eyes, and she said, "I'm so happy." I couldn't help the tears clinging to my lashes, just like Nick couldn't keep the grin off his face.

Then it was on to the reception, which was absolutely hoppin'! Loyalty Entertainment kept the good songs rolling and with all the people from the dance studio and all the kids, the dance floor never stayed empty for long. And as Nick is a big Star Wars fan, there were even lightsaber battles happening!

It was a beautiful day and one that'll be remembered for years to come. Many happy wishes to the bride and groom!
