"Which color do you want?" I asked holding up the colored flash gels.
Brandon considered them and said after only a moment, "Red."
We met up at the Walker's Mill entrance to the Panhandle Trail. Our destination was the Rock Quarry, where every year a 3 day event is held where local bands take their place on the stage to "Rock the Quarry." I've been there a number of times, as part of the band, as a spectator, and as a photographer. When Brandon's mom told me where he attended school, I know that the Rock Quarry was the perfect spot to have his senior session. It's a beautiful spot, perfect for hanging out, perfect for enjoying nature.
Brandon's session was in the evening and the sun had already lowered behind the tree line, so I pulled out some lights and got to work. Brandon was easy to work with and enjoyed watching me trip over everything as I backed up--a hazard with being a mainly prime-lens user. I tell everyone that I zoom with my feet and sometimes that means I have to have clients watch my back. I think Brandon found it funny not to warn me. I got some good smiles that way. He was easy-going and had an awesome smile!
Brandon is looking forward to playoffs for soccer. He likes playing against Aquinas Academy the most of his rival schools. Outside of soccer and school, he works at Dunkin Donuts. He is most inspired by Neymar, a famous Brazilian soccer player. After high school, he plans to attend a four-year college to become an athletic trainer and dreams to be a coach for FC Barcelona.
