Colin + Staci | A Magical Wedding In Harrison City, PA

Obstacle after obstacle got in the way of Staci and Colin’s perfect wedding day. in The months and weeks leading up to the day, I was in contact with Staci and her mom pretty frequently due to concerns over COVID-19. On 4th of July weekend, Allegheny County restricted gatherings to 25 people, it was just a week before the wedding. I called Staci and we started chatting about different solutions and plans B and C. It was the next day that Staci’s mom called me to inform me that they had a new reception venue in place.

Fast forward to the day of the wedding. If I hadn’t been in constant contact with her, I would have never known the stress and hardship that Staci and Colin endured to have their wedding. They were both so calm and poised. Despite having to change venues and hiring a new DJ three days before the wedding, everything turned out magically. It was a beautiful day for a wonderful couple and I’m glad to have been a part of it.

Staci and Colin got ready separately at the Doubletree by Hilton In Monroeville. Staci’s hair was already beautifully done by VYBE Beauty and Brow Bar when she arrived and then was made up by Make Me Blush Makeup & Beauty Lounge, who did a wonderful job. Staci took a break to read through a scrap book full of letters from family and friends, prompting tears and laughter. When she finished, her mom helped her into an elegant blush dress from David’s Bridal, and then her sister helped her with the cathedral length veil, completing Staci’s bridal look. She looked absolutely ethereal.

Colin, looking sharp in a tux from Men’s Wearhouse, spent his morning down the hall with his guys. Rich did a wonderful job capturing their candid moments. I visited for a few moments when Staci’s sister delivered Staci’s gift to Colin. Later, Colin took a moment to read a letter from his bride and he was overcome with emotion.

Once everyone was ready, we all headed to St. Bernadette Catholic Church for the ceremony. Staci regularly attends the spacious and beautiful church and she loves their contemporary music. She and Colin were happy to have her family’s deacon officiate the ceremony and he and his wife later attended the reception celebration. With the family ties, the ceremony was personal and lovely. My favorite moment was Colin’s reaction to Staci walking down the aisle and then Staci’s reaction to her dad and Colin shaking hands. There was so much joy throughout the ceremony.

The reception was held at beautiful Nicassio Fields in Harrison City. The staff did a fantastic job and were so kind. After Colin and Staci’s grand entrance, Staci’s mom helped remove her veil and then Colin and Staci shared a heartfelt first dance. Their Love and adoration for each other filled the hall. after their first dance the bride a fro cut the gorgeous cake by Scozio’s Bakery and smashed it in each other’s faces. After they got cleaned up, Staci’s sister gave the first toast followed by Colin’s brother and then Staci’s dad. Her dad’s speech had the whole room rolling with laughter. There were some hilarious reactions and it had me in stitches.

After dinner, we’re the parent dances, which were emotional and touching to witness. And then PECS Entertainment Services got the party started in a way I’ve never seen and I was immensely impressed. As the sun started setting, I took Staci and Colin our to the gazebo to grab some final portraits and video with KLJ Videography, who put together a gorgeous sneak peek.

Considering all that’a going on in 2020, I couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect wedding day. Colin and Staci were wonderful to work with and I wish all the best blessings for them. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
