Time In A Bottle

If I could save time in a bottle

The first thing that I'd like to do

Is to save every day till eternity passes away

Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever

If words could make wishes come true

I'd save every day like a treasure and then

Again, I would spend them with you

But there never seems to be enough time

To do the things you want to do, once you find them

I've looked around enough to know

That you're the one I want to go through time with

If I had a box just for wishes

And dreams that had never come true

The box would be empty, except for the memory of how

They were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time

To do the things you want to do, once you find them

I've looked around enough to know

That you're the one I want to go through the time with

This was the song that Rachel and Zac chose to play on Pandora while they privately danced in the park at the end of their beautiful wedding day. It truly felt like time was in a bottle as Rich and I watched the newlyweds twirl in the grass beneath the tree's shade. We had just finished two hours of photographing their portraits throughout the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum Park, and saw that our time was coming to a close. We asked if there was anything else they wanted and that's when they asked about sharing a first dance since there hadn't been any dancing at their lunch reception.

I was thrilled by the idea. A private first dance was a beautiful way to end a wedding celebration. As they swayed to their song, I sniffed and wiped at the tears forming in my eyes. The entire day had been lovely, but this moment watching them dance in the park was my favorite.
