What's Happening?

I can't believe we're halfway through the year. Where has the time gone? May was an incredibly full month. We spent the first week of the month in Arizona for a family wedding and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everything about the day was wonderful and I'm so glad I get to relive it as I work on getting the pictures edited. Aside from visiting with family and friends, we got out to an ostrich farm, where we were all appropriately traumatized by kissing goat heads and lorikeets. The trip was great, except for the tail end of it. We all got sick and ended up spending our last day in the hotel room trying to recover for our flights home. They were miserable flights. I'm just now healing up from my eardrum bursting on our descent into Houston. After our trip, it was right back to our busy schedule, with t-ball games, multiple engagement sessions, another wedding, and getting ready for my sister's baby shower. We've been running non-stop and now summer is here and I couldn't be happier.

To kick off our summer, we got our yard cleaned up and the pool ready for swimming. The kids have already spent a good number of hours out swimming and everyone is starting to look a little more golden. I took the girls out to see the Little Mermaid, which was delightful, and Rich took the boy out fishing. Our schedule is filled with summer activities and events and more traveling coming up. I'm looking forward to Kennywood next week and all the swimming we're going to be doing. I also can't wait for all the carnival food, roasted marshmallows, and time with friends. If you couldn't tell, summer is my favorite! What are your favorite things about summer?
